After days of traveling, long nights full of searching for supplies,
Luke couldn’t hold the smile on his face as he watched the boy;
his eyes filled with amazement as he played on the old console
he had just found.

Luke sat right next to Sam, watching him play, sometimes commenting
of where he was supposed to go or what he was supposed to do.

But nah, he’d only receive a quick ‘I got this’, shutting him off,
leaving Luke to keep watching him.

His arms would move around the boys neck, pressing him closer,
chuckling as Sam refused to accept the hug while he was beating the game.
Well, he had to deal with that now.
